What happens when you call Bed Bugs Arizona

  1. John Taylor of Bed Bugs Arizona greeting a customer outside a Phoenix home

    1. John picks up

You tell him what you have seen and where. He asks what has you concerned and takes it from there. Call early in the day, and he can often inspect that same day.

Until he gets there, leave everything where it is, and do not throw anything away yet.

  2. Free bed bug inspection of a mattress with a flashlight in a Phoenix bedroom

    2. A free inspection in your home

On average, the inspection takes 15 to 30 minutes. John starts in the room you are most worried about and works outward with a flashlight, looking for the spotting, eggs, and shed skins that bed bugs leave behind. If it is something else, he tells you so, and you owe nothing.

  3. From a Bed Bugs Arizona customer
“After researching multiple companies, I contacted the owner of this company, Mr. John Taylor. He made the drive across the valley to check my home out the very next morning. He was knowledgable, found no evidence of bugs, and did NOT try to upsell me anything. He is a true professional, thorough, and honest.”
    Suzanne Witmer, Google review
  4. John Taylor shaking hands with a homeowner after a bed bug inspection

    3. A firm price before any work

John gives you the price at the inspection, and the price we quote is the price we charge. It covers both visits and the warranty, with no upsells and no surprises. He also walks you through the prep your home needs and why, explains the process, and, if you decide to go ahead, sets the date for the first treatment.

  5. Bed Bugs Arizona treating a bed frame by hand during a whole-home bed bug treatment

    4. Treatment day

John treats as soon as your prep is done, and most households can finish it in a day or less. The job takes about an hour, longer in a large or cluttered home. Every room is treated by hand, with a sprayer and a duster, along with all the furniture and the baseboards. Electronics are treated with products that do not harm them. Everyone, pets included, stays out for 4 hours while the treatment dries. Then you come home, put clean sheets on the bed, and sleep in it that night.

  6. Bed Bugs Arizona treating a sofa during a bed bug treatment visit

    5. The second visit

Every treatment includes a second visit two weeks later and a one-year warranty you can renew for life. The second visit is lighter than the first and catches anything that has hatched since. If you have a problem with bed bugs during that year, call, and we come back and fix it. It holds as long as the prep was done and the second visit happened.

A lifetime bed bug warranty

One year is included with every treatment. After that, renew it each year for $250: an inspection, one scheduled treatment, and another year of coverage. Call 623-451-0541 for a free in-home inspection.

How the lifetime warranty works

Bed bug treatment in Phoenix for homes, rentals, and businesses

About two-thirds of our work is in people's homes. The rest is for hosts, landlords, property managers, and businesses. John says he has no ideal customer: everyone who calls deserves the best he has to offer, and the warranty is the same for a home, a rental, or a business. Find your situation below; each page explains what is different about that kind of job.

So you know before you call:

  • We do not do heat treatment.
  • We do not treat a single room or just the mattress. Whole home only, except a hotel or motel room.
  • We do not do general pest control.

Why customers choose Bed Bugs Arizona

  • A plan for your home, not a guess

John starts each job with a plan for that home and uses the highest-grade products available. We do not go in and guess.

  • The person who gives you the price does the work

In John's experience, the person who sells a bed bug job at a big company is often a commission-based salesperson who has never done one, and the technician who shows up later does not know everything that was promised.

Here, John answers every call himself, gives you the price, and does the work. It is his reputation on the line.

From a Bed Bugs Arizona customer
“John always answer his phone! He is amazing, friendly and calm, which is just what I needed. The service was great and the follow up too.”
    Jennifer Story, Google review
  • An honest answer, even when it costs us the job

A bite is not proof of bed bugs, and other bugs, including carpet beetles, are mistaken for bed bugs. When the inspection turns up something else, or nothing at all, John says so.

  • The jobs other companies did not finish

About six to eight times a month, John is called in after another company or a do-it-yourself attempt did not solve the problem. The most common reason people give for switching is that the job was not done right.

What he usually finds is furniture and rooms that were never treated, and products too weak for bed bugs. In his experience, a job also goes wrong when the follow-up visit is skipped, and a company that does not expect its treatment to hold may offer no proper warranty.

John's answer is to take the time to do the job correctly: everything that needs treating is treated, with proper products, and a full warranty stands behind the work.

From a Bed Bugs Arizona customer
“They came in and sprayed my home and I haven’t seen any sign of bed bugs since. I used a company before that overcharged me and didn’t get rid of my problem but thanks to these guys the bugs are gone.”
    britni dubrul, Google review
  • Safety on every job

Safety is a very high priority for John. He mixes and applies every product exactly as its label directs. Applied incorrectly, the same products could be unsafe, fail to work, and damage what is in your home.

  • Low-key truck, no logo on the uniform

Nobody wants the neighbors to know. Our uniforms have no logo and no company name; the lettering on the truck is low-key, and we discuss the job only with the people you ask us to deal with. If the truck outside your home worries you, ask John where to park.

Does the Phoenix heat kill bed bugs?

No. In our experience, bed bugs are active here all year, and calls do not rise or fall with the season. A home that sits empty for months does not change anything either. From Phoenix to the East Valley, in apartments and 55+ communities alike, bed bugs are predictable in where they nest and in their life cycle, and a properly trained technician works from that.

Whether you live in a house, a condo, an apartment, or a mobile home, the type of home does not change that.

What to ask any bed bug company before you hire

John's advice is to check out any company before you hire it. These questions help you do that.

Ask John all seven. Call 623-451-0541 for a free in-home inspection.

  1. 1. Are your reviews for bed bug work or for general pest control? Ask how much of their work is bed bugs.
  2. 2. Will the person who gives me the price be the person who does the treatment? If not, ask who will be in your home on treatment day.
  3. 3. Do you treat the whole home or only the room where I saw them? If only the room, ask what happens to the rest of the home.
  4. 4. Is a second visit included in the price? Ask when it happens and whether it costs extra.
  5. 5. How long is the warranty, and what does it cover? Ask what happens, and what it costs, if you see a bed bug after the treatment.
  6. 6. Is the price firm, and does it include everything? Ask what could change the number once they have seen the home.
  7. 7. What is your Arizona license number, and how much liability insurance do you carry? The Arizona Department of Agriculture can tell you the status of any pest management license.

Serving Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Glendale, Peoria, and the rest of Arizona

Phoenix is our home market, and the largest share of our work today is in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler. Beyond the Valley, we take jobs in towns across the state when a job makes sense for both of us. There is no separate travel fee. Distance is factored into the job price, and you hear that price before any work starts. Tucson and the south of the state are served by a separate company.

Questions Phoenix customers ask before they book

Are you part of a national chain?

No. Bed Bugs Arizona is a small, family-owned company headquartered in Buckeye, AZ. John Taylor owns it, and on large jobs, his son, Nicholas Taylor, who is trained in the same process, works alongside him.

Is there any kind of building you do not treat?

A few. We do not treat schools, daycares, churches, movie theaters, libraries, other public buildings, or storage units. Beyond the homes, rentals, and businesses listed above, we take group homes, shelters, transitional housing, student housing, restaurants and bars, mobile homes, RV parks, and vehicles.

Do you treat condos and townhomes?

Yes. A condo or townhome gets the same whole-home treatment as a house. Where walls are shared, John also considers the homes next door, based on how severe the problem is and the unit's history.

When are inspections and treatments done?

During normal business hours. The phone is answered 7 days a week, 7 AM to 7 PM, and when a weekday will not work for you, a weekend visit is possible.

How do I know if it's really bed bugs?

You may not be able to tell on your own. Have someone who looks at bed bugs every day check the bed. If John cannot find a cause, he will ask you to keep watch for a few days.

Does your treatment kill the eggs?

The eggs the products reach directly, yes. An egg in a protected spot hatches later, and the residual kills the young bug. The second visit is timed to the egg cycle. The Pro-Treat Plus page explains how.

Will John let me know if he is running late?

Yes. Every visit is booked for a set time, and if the day runs behind, John gets in touch with you right away.

I live in Tucson. Who should I call?

Call Arizona Specialty Services in Tucson. John's son, Nicholas Taylor, owns it, and it is a separate company, not under our license. It serves southern Arizona with an identical program, and its customers also get a free inspection, a one-year warranty, and the 20% offer.

Think you have bed bugs? Call John.

There is no pressure to book. Call 623-451-0541 for a free in-home inspection. Calls answered 7 days a week, 7 AM to 7 PM.
